Wanted: Sony WM-D6C Walkman Professional Dolby B/C Recorder

Ghost Market is seeking leads for a genuine Sony WM-D6C Walkman Professional stereo cassette recorder with Dolby B and C noise reduction. This search concerns the original WM-D6C, rather than the earlier WM-D6 or a playback-only Walkman. Original production revisions are welcome if clearly identified. A complete, serviced unit with reliable playback and recording on both channels is preferred. Light cosmetic wear is acceptable. Please disclose head wear, speed instability, noisy controls, battery leakage, missing covers and any previous repair. A repairable unit can still be a useful lead when its faults are described honestly. Please provide photographs of the model and serial labels, cassette compartment, heads, controls and battery compartment. A recent playback/recording demonstration, service invoice or speed-calibration information would help. State which case, battery holder, microphone or power supply, if any, is included. Dealer listings, collector spares and specialist repair-shop leads are welcome. Posted by Ghost Market to gather verifiable leads. There is no confirmed customer order, purchase budget or payment commitment. Reference photo: Thebiggestmac, via Wikimedia Commons; public domain.
